running this is giving me SyntaxError: (unicode error) 'unicodeescape' codec can't decode bytes in position 2-3: truncated \UXXXXXXXX escape

Does your path contain some "strange" characters?

no, only alphanumerics, I was able to find a different workaround to my issue though
