Setting the hidden attribute for entire folders?

Could you add the ability to set the hidden attribute on entire folders, in addition to individual files?

i have a folder with a point be fore it like this '.somehiddenfolder', it is by default hidden by windows and linux, but this program does not include the folder with a . before it....
