Step forward functionality

As originally requested in #61 , The ability to step forward back to the current frame after stepping backwards could be useful.

Why did you suddenly close the old one and open it as a new one again?

It made more sense to add the second half as part of the UI cleanup. I suppose I could have renamed the original issue after that instead of closing and adding this smaller one.
