[Feature request] Zipped ROMs expanding/collapsing from their source folder in the library treeview
Like I state in the title, I suggest that the tree view show zipped ROMs expanding/collapsing from their respective folder (or folders) they come from, instead of being separate from everything else. Something like this:
This way you would see more clearly that the zipped ROMs are inside a specific folder.
Simplistically, I mean something that looks like this for a user with ROMs in a folder and subfolders:
Whereas for a user with several folders (per platform, for example) it would look like this:
I hope this time my idea is better understood. Thanks for your attention.
To be perfectly honest I want to have zips with only one ROM in them just show up as the zip in the library, instead of having a subdirectory.
You mean like when you have a ROM set in a zip folder and all ROMs are zipped inside it? If so, I understand your point, because it's more comfortable in that case. However, I think it wouldn't hurt to be able to group by folders and subfolders (I mean the ones that are not zipped), as you would also offer convenience for those of us who download ROMs individually.
Let me put my suggestion this way: would it be possible for the view I propose to appear by pressing a toggle switch, or could it be selected as another type of view along with the tree and list views?
This way, it would be a middle ground between your way of grouping and the one I propose, plus there would be another new way of grouping that would satisfy another group of users. Thus offering a new level of customization.
