Network speed measurement is counting traffic from all interfaces when using a bridge

When downloading things I see the reported bandwidth usage ~doubled. I suspect this is due to using a bridge device for networking and it's counting the traffic over the physical device as well as the bridge. One possible solution would be to not count the bridge device another one would be to be able to select for which interfaces we want to report traffic.
