How to check whether a access path is exist?

How to check whether a access path is exist when the path(folders or files) has been deleted from svn client(eg:TortoiseSVN) or from svn server(eg:VisualSVN Server)? Looking forward to your help.Thanks.

Actually there is not way. But it would be good to have the possibility to run some kind of sanity-check which does prove this.
