rosie db: rationalise date field searching/querying

Commit timestamps are stored in the Rosie discovery databases in Unix time (seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z). This has to be presented in a nice way, but isn't searchable in the same nice way. We need to figure out a good way of doing this - maybe removing the field from searches and queries?
