Remove developer branch after merge to main

Once all the development branch changes have been merged into the main branch, remove development branch. This is purely a repository maintenance issue and is being captured here to make sure it doesn't get forgotten.

@t00sa, could you please delete the develop branch? I just checked, and all functionality in there is merged into main (or PR is open). Unfortuanetly, I don't have permission to delete develop (as it is a protected branch).

@yaswant , @t00sa - could you please delete the develop branch, and then close this ticket? Adding this to 2.1 so it won't get forgotten :)
