Unnecessarily adding www. prefix is breaking most invidious instances
Please stop this practice. Adding it serves no purpose and is breaking many of the available invidious instances because they already use subdomains.
Example: invidious.snopyta.org If you add a www. to it, it becomes www.invidious.snopyta.org and won't load because it's not an existing domain.
Seconded. I've switched to using a different invidious extension
Thirded, it still does this.
Isn't this solved in the Firefox Addon store? It still happens to me as of today.

Yep same issue here as of today.
Same issue. For diehards of this add-on, you can use the following two instances. They do function, at least for the present moment.
- invidious.tube
- invidiou.site
May default instance list work too: https://redirect.invidious.io/
as https://www.redirect.invidious.io/ is not enabled

I have the same problem. I had a quick look at the source code but couldn't find a place where "www." is added. Since the developer has no motivation to correct this little thing, I consider this project abandoned. Can anyone recommend a usable extension?

Indeed. Using Privacy Redirect.
Maybe update README to link to https://github.com/SimonBrazell/privacy-redirect
