Adding `resolveSourceMapLocations` setting to `launch.json`, to disable debugging for `node_modules`, as described [in this answer](https://stackoverflow.com/questions/65237645/could-not-read-source-map-errors-when-connecting-to-node-debugger-next-js) solved the issue for me.
