Fill Empty Gaps with Dummy Element

Open superbrightfuture opened this issue 10 years ago • 12 comments

This was discussed before here: https://github.com/metafizzy/packery/issues/131 While apparently it's more or less possible to fill empty gaps with dummy elements, it's ... rather hard, for a beginner like me. Would it be possible to add an easier way of doing this? Or a shortcut of some kind?

This is an interesting request. I don't see that much utility in it. But if you'd like to see it, please +1 this issue.

+1 I would suggest not to fill with dummy elements, which indeed are rather useless, but to implement a kind of look-ahead automatism to pull items upwards in the list to fill large empty gaps much better, than the provided order of items serves. What do you think?
