packery 'fit' method

I cannot seem to find this issue anywhere, so (if even possible) how could I make isotope in packery-mode use the 'fit' method as in normal packery documentation: http://packery.metafizzy.co/methods.html#fit

so that an 'active' item is scaled to fill up the current row and when 'deactivated' goes back to its original position.

Unfortunately,Packery's fit method is not currently supported by the packery layout mode for Isotope.

+1. Specifically: i want isotope's abiility to maintain filtering/sorting, combined with packery's ability to 'fit' an item in-place when expanding it. Is there another way around this?
