Just an update, since I upgraded to Android 9.0 - the issue persists.

On my very first paste, an exception was thrown, but the plugin seemed to work after I closed the exception dialogue. The bug mentioned above, where the previously used Directory...

I forgot that I had manually moved the images. The issue is persisting
