1200bps reset button does not work on windows

when one presses the 1200bps reset button on the web flasher it throws up this issue on chrome (same on MS edge )

it appears that it fails to open the serial port

when i press the normal flashing buttons for flashing the esp32 , it will flash as normal , so i am pretty sure its an issue with the code for the 1200 reset button specificaly.

Similar results with the latest Chromium on Debian 12. Neither of my xiao s3 boards have ever accepted a 1200baud reset. The only successful flashes were achieved by holding the microscopic button while plugging USB.
