[Feature Request]: Gracefully handle conflicts over network devices

Tell us your idea.

Ideally the new device gets priority, but that may be harder to achieve and would need coordination with everyone else (web etc)

At the very least:

• stop trying after the second / third failure in 2-5 seconds
• throw a popup that says "connection interrupted repeatedly, do you have another interface that may be accessing this node"
