Update html on keyup and mentain caret position

Hey mervick,

I am trying to make the html update on keyup event, but I can't figure it out. Case: typing " :shortcode: " and after the shortcode has ended, replace it with the emoji html, while keeping the caret position.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance
