Gantt chart: feature to lightly shade excluded days

Wondering if anyone has considered an option for a lightly shaded vertical bar during exclude
days (weekdays a,b,c or weekends)? Whaddaya think? Good idea or no? When there are gaps in my gantt chart because of weekends, I don't want people thinking I have extra time to work during those gaps. 😸 (Or when a task spans a weekend it looks more daunting than it really is.)
Love this addition to mermaid, btw, I'm making good use of it! Gimme more time with D3 and JS and I would love to contribute myself, but you don't want my code just yet.. trust me. Maybe by the time (and if) this gets more upvotes I might be ready.
I was looking for this exact feature. Gaps (when a tasks ends before a weekend) are disturbing and you can't see non-working days.
I know nothing about D3, so I'll wait for you to improve your code, arkadianriver. :)
@arkadianriver Have you become an expert on D3 and JS yet? :)
