sequenceDiagram Alice->>+John: 你好? Alice->>+John: 能听到吗? John-->>-Alice: 可以! John-->>-Alice: 好! this way when i export a .png format, Chinese will be a mess hhhh so i saved the .svg format and turn it to a .png format so that Chinese can be showed correctly

I meet the same issue. When I goto mermaidchart from live editor page and click "Export diagram" button on left bar, I found the exported png's Chinese content became some squares(i drew flowchart)

Chinese is working in both cases. The issue might be with your computer not having the right fonts maybe?
