Feature Request: Configure logging rate

Open bheberlein opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Some GPS tracking apps provide settings to configure the logging rate based on a time interval (e.g. create a track point every 1 second) or a distance interval (create a track point when the receiver has traveled more than e.g. 10 ft). This would be a nice feature to add. For me, a time-based logging would be the most useful, but it seems that the current behavior may be distance-based.

That would be very useful, logging once per minute / per 10 minutes would likely save battery for longer trips when you don't need all the precision (e.g., cycling on roads).

Would be great to show the GPS time on the screen side to the latitude/longitude. Exact time (at least up to the seconds) is extremely important for synchronization. I need it in order to synchronize the exact time between my camera with the GPX track. i will take a photo with my mirrorless camera of the screen of my phone with the App running, this is why i need the exact time with seconds to be display. During the processing of my photos, I will be able to add the exact delay between my mirrorless camera clock and the GPS clock. the location from the GPX track will match perfectly my photos (no delay guessing). Thanks, your app is amazing and very convenient.
