Back in May, this info was added to the project readme:

IMPORTANT If you are planning on commencing a new project to introduce Gender Pronouns in Microsoft 365 you may want to hold off for a while.

Is this because a native solution is coming? If so, is there a timeline or roadmap entry we can watch?
