T430 USB Issues

Hello, I installed Skulls for the Thinkpad T430. When was adjusting grub options I made a mistake and was unable to fix, which forced me to reinstall Fedora. However when attempting to boot into a USB Live stick, Skulls/Coreboot does not recognize the USB. It is a problem I believe that is similar to issue #145, only for the ThinkPad T430 instead of the X230 Tablet, which is why I did not comment there. thankfully I had the secondary drive bay, and turned a spare SSD into the liveUSB to reinstall Fedora, but this raises the concern of how can I install a distro on a Skulls system if it does not recognize the USB on boot?

Steps to reproduce:

• Completely power off the system
• Attach a USB startup stick to any of the USB ports
• Press Esc when prompted to select the boot device
• The USB stick is not listed

Expected:

• The USB stick is recognized and can be used to boot the system

Workaround:

• Use secondary purchasable SATA drive in place of the CDROM bay and turn spare SSD into liveUSB.

I'm not sure what may have gone wrong, but for what is worth I don't have this problem.

I have the T430 and currently running latest Skulls.

There is no problem with thumbdrives and any ports. I have already installed Debian via a thumbdrive twice and frequently use Tails (Live OS).

I'm not sure what is happening with your instance, but I can confirm it's working on my end. I read the issue you referenced, does their workaround work for you? If no, maybe make sure that all settings are correct and you didn't leave anything disabled. Try clearing TPM credentials and disable it too.
