Did you try to do the steps described in the README, when the ththe tv does not appear?

It should not matter whether you use ethernet or wifi (only in that they have different mac addresses), you just have to make sure that the correct settings are enabled...

I also think that the API should be rewritten and improved. Adding new devices is really a pain compared to zigbee2mqtt. The current code is not really clear any more...
