Not well integrated with Gnome

I am using the latest Appimage 0.6.1 on Manjaro Gnome. There is no icon for the appimage + I cannot add this app to the favorite bar (Dash to Dock).

I got the same issue, but on Debian. AppImageLauncher may help

The icon is still not displayed but you can add Imagine to Dash to Dock.

I didn't push the experiments further though, as the Appimage requires --no-sandbox, which seems pretty bad for security, and a pain to setup properly
