It requires updating to latest icalevents library.

But that in turn is updating some other important libraries, so this might end up becoming a bigger PR than I hoped 😢

Hi @mendhak this idea of using other calendars I had not considered until seeing this thread. I was trying to lower my dependency on google and microsoft and migrating to another calendar seems good. But I cannot lose my Pi Calendar! Is there now a possibility to use other calendars? Thanks!

@feh123 The ICS feature already exists, you can see it under the section to pick a calendar provider. So you should already be able to try it with another provider.

This PR here is to fix a potential bug with some provider's ICS I think, or a bug in ICS library in general or a bug in my implementation... I'm just not sure! Which is kind of the downside of ICS sometimes, it's a bit fiddly in unexpected ways. But it should work well enough.

The original implementation I tested it with NextCloud calendar but this PR should hopefully fix it with Proton calendar.

Thanks @mendhak I have the ics file from google so I will backup my cuurent calendar and try to install the apple calendar. I will let you know how it goes! Thanks again.
