Wildly inaccurate positions recorded

Open pinxos opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

Great app but during a walk, I get wildly inaccurate positions logged. These can be up to 1km from the correct point and usually, just a single point is logged. Could this be solved by adding a maximum distance filter, so a point would not be logged if it was more than the given distance (e.g. 100m) from the previous point? I've attached .gpx & .csv files from a recent walk. It seems that the inaccurate points are being recorded by the network rather than GPS herearesomefiles_.zip

Phone network is very approximate. If you want to hit someone based on his phone network coordinates you would need a very large warhead to be certain. There would probably be collateral damage. One solution is to disable the network based location.
