gps is "switched on" every 60 sec regardless of any configuration

If a set an long update intervall, let's say 300 seconds, the gps is "switched on" anyway every 60 seconds. That makes no sense and consumes extra battery for nothing.

So I've tried testing this on a few different phones, I'm not seeing this. Do you have any other applications that check location, including G Maps, Tasker, automation apps, KWGT, there may be others. Does the location turn on every 60 s even if GPSLogger isn't running?

I may? have seen something similar. In my log:

I have passive collection disabled, so I don't know why it's receiving a location at 8:26 and 8:27.
