Autostart won't work on a specific phone
GPSLogger v132 is installed on two very same phones, Nokia XR20 (pure Android), using FDroid. At certain point in time, one of the phones refused to launch GPSLogger at startup. I checked every possible differences between two phones side by side without success. I even uninstalled GPSLogger cleared everything, installed again without success either. I'm just out of ideas. Any clue?
Thank you very much
I have seen this before, though I can't remember exactly what the issue was. Something to do with allowing background activity? There were restrictions introduced in recent versions of Android related to BOOT_COMPLETED which is how this app is started on reboot. Have a look in permissions whether allow in background might have been disabled.
Thanks for your feedback. The only thing I could be think of is: Battery utilization but it is set with no limitation. I reviewed every possible settings with the other phone in hand, still no luck. Is there any special log file that could be reviewed to try to understand what blocks auto startup?
I noticed as well that on this specific GPSlogger running in the background stops without any notice. I would not be surprised that the two issues are related. Are there any specific log file that I could inspect?
The only ones possible are generating a debug log for the app. There's a chance it doesn't help if there's something else happening at the OS level but if there's an internal error that may appear in there.
