Apple M3 Pro + UTM + Windows 11 ARM issues
I can't seem to get things working on my Apple M3 Pro with UTM, using a Windows 11 ARM iso.
Initial Windows setup works, but when it reboots it throws an error and won't continue. You're basically stuck in a reboot loop.
Windows 11 ARM ISO was downloaded using CrystalFetch.
ISO was modified on Windows using AnyBurn method
This looks like a very niche case.
If the Windows without the script runs fine, I suggest stripping down the script first to only a few options, using the script maker. Then if the windows load fine, add a few more options, and continue this until you face the issue you are having at the moment. Now you narrowed the problem to a few options, which it's easier to find the one thing that's caused the problem. I don't have an apple device, though I would try this myself and help you.
Same issue when using VMware fusion as well, so maybe it's related to ARM
While the file does have support for ARM64, I don't have a way of actually testing it because I don't have ARM64 hardware.
I will say though, that when testing in VMware, sometimes my windows installations also fail but if I just retry the process without changing anything, it completes successfully, so I don't know why it happens, but sometimes it errors during installation.
I'm getting the same thing on the M4 Pro MacBook Pro using Parallels. I've tried editing using the script maker, but the number of configurations to test is overwhelming. Would be really great to get this working with arm macs.
Hey there and sorry for the late reply.
I still don't have access to arm64 hardware so I can't test it myself, but you are welcome to test with v3.0.0 of the file, I have recently made some big changes to my projects.
Since the creation of this issue I have released a new version of the XML file and a major update to Winhance, I recommend that you watch this video which provides a full demo of the current version along with how to use the new version of WIMUtil and how to install the drivers etc. You now also have the ability to create an autounattend.xml file based on your selections in Winhance, so you have more control over which apps are removed and which settings are applied.
I have also created this video about v3.0.0 of UnattendedWinstall, I suggest that you watch it too if you're interested.
I'm closing this issue now, but if you need more help with the same issue, feel free to reopen it.
