Looking for NanoVG maintainers

Open memononen opened this issue 6 years ago • 8 comments

We will have a new family member this autumn, and the little free time I used to have will be gone for good. I would like to find a small group of people (2-4) who could keep NanoVG rolling while I'm out there.

The plan would be to migrate issue and PR handling to that group over the course of next couple of months. Then look into what features might be relevant to add, and make plan to add online documentation.

My intent with NanoVG was always to keep it as small as possible. The big features I see being added are picking and shape caching. There are a great implementations there buried into some PRs, but they have few issues, missing a bit or a bob, and I have not had time to think them through.

Ideally I'm looking for people who are using NanoVG in their own projects, and maybe have already contributed to the project too.

You can chime in here, you send me email at [email protected]

Congratulations! How much work is expected ( per Werk?)

I hope that we get enough maintainers so that it might take an hour or two a week. For features and bigger code reviews it might be more.

@flxwu created a website for people looking for project maintainers: https://github.com/flxwu/maintainerswanted.com It's only like 10 days old, but there's a chance it will become popular so... I guess it may help?

Hey @NeatSketch! Thanks for considering my project, it will actually be launched tomorrow or the day after, and I hope it'll gain quite some traction as I also have @SaraVieira and some others backing it! So, it would be really cool if you could add nanovg there!

Perhaps you could edit the GitHub description of this project with "Looking for a maintainer, see ..." to advertise this thread, like this project. https://github.com/diiq/atomatigit

great to see some maintenance going on :-) If you are still looking for people I would be happy to deal with low hanging fruit. There are tonnes of issues i can see that obviously just need closing since they may have become obsolete. I would also be happy to sort out the examples which could do with some tweaks to compile. Maybe @AndrewBelt we could do it together? (Although both our projects are audio related not graphics in the first case, so it might be good to get others involved)
