I made a windows 7 version of the get-ghc script last year where I used the .NET lib to calculate it https://github.com/melted/getghc/blob/master/get-ghc-win7.ps1

Ok thanks, maybe it's worth marking in the readme file that the script will not run on win7 + PS 3?
