How to install a title to nand?

Open VictheImpa opened this issue 1 year ago • 16 comments

I'm having trouble with playing zelda four swords anniversary addition and apparently I need to install it to NAND. Is there a tutorial on how to do this?

Installing a game to NAND

Installing a game to the DSi's NAND is a job for melonDS' title manager.

Instructions

In the melonDS window, navigate to 'System' > 'Manage DSi titles'. image

The title manager should now be opened. Now, click on 'Import title...'. image

Now, you will need to specify the game 'executable' (in your instance, the Zelda Four Swords Anniversary ROM) and the game metadata. The metadata can be downloaded from NUS if you do not have a local copy. After clicking OK, your game should now be installed. image image

To play the game, you will need to boot into the DSi firmware, and look for a present on the home menu. Unwrap the present, and the game is now playable! image image

I followed the instructions but when I boot it up the title isn't showing on the homepage for some reason

Does it at least show in Unlaunch?

Please post a picture of the DSi Settings page and the picture of the melonDS title manager. This will help me gauge what the issue is.

It appears I didn't make my previous request clear.

  1. What is the region of your NAND (J, E or U) (this can be found in the DSi Settings app NOT the melonDS settings)
  2. Post a picture of the title manager where you installed the DSiWare game to NAND

The region of your NAND is USA. Is the game you are installing the same region?

No the game version I have is from Europe/Australia

Then try again with an American copy, and see if that works.

Do you have any links for an American copy of that game?

VictheImpa avatar May 08 '24 14:05 VictheImpa

For legal reasons, I cannot provide direct links to websites, however it should be as simple as searching for DSiWare games on Google.
