NDI-HX issue "video decoder not found"
hi,
I am using DiCaffeine on an intel hardware under Debian bookworm. Though i also encountered this issue on some Ubuntu based distros.
Although i know DiCaffeine is officially supported on Ubuntu only, i installed it under Debian 12. I manually installed FFMPEG and AVAHI-UTILS which were not installed by default and also proceeded with the NDI libraries install.
So far everything is working fine and i can play NDI streams.
The issue is when trying to play NDI-HX streams where it conplains with a message "Video decoder not found". Seems like the libraries are not used / not found for this codec. I tried to manually symlink to other locations in case DiCaffeine is looking in différent path on Ubuntu and Debian but with no luck.
Everything seems fine on Ubuntu but also faced this issue on other Ubuntu based distros.
Also i just installed OBS Studio (flatpak) along with the NDI plugin and it works great with NDI and NDI-HX
Is it a problem with DiCaffeine not finding the library ? or maybe ffmpeg debian version not compatible with NDI-HX ?
Any suggestion appreciated.
Thanks a lot
