JSolEx 3 crash

Open vnp85 opened this issue 8 months ago • 5 comments

I am using the 3.0.0 dev version, the last one you recommended me to download.

It looks like it randomly crashes (I've been running two instances in parallel, as 64GB RAM should be enough) and one instance just went missing, with files half-rendered, and nothing interesting in the log file.

It looks like it is a recurring issue, initially I thought I must have mouse slipped or something.

Please always upgrade to the latest snapshot before submitting issues. I'm about to release 3.0 :/

You said these are auto-generated binaries. Is there a way to know the difference between those using the same version number?

vnp85 avatar Apr 14 '25 16:04 vnp85

There are always tons of differences. Snapshots are unstable by nature.

Perhaps a build number-somthing, the commit's hash included into the processing log file?

I could do something like that, but IMO not worth it. When you're on the dev version, you're living on the bleeding edge. You should always update to the latest regularly.
