request: Save averaged image of the spectrum in the folder for selection by "Identify" button in Spectrum Browser

Open mconsidine opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

A view of the spectrum as seen by a given instrument/camera combo for a SER file under review is already automatically created. In the event that one wishes to "play around" in the spectrum via the browser, it would be useful to be able to identify this averaged view as the image to use for line identification purposes.

So if it could be saved and then easily selected or pulled up automatically when the spectrum browser is selected, I think that would be a great convenience. Unless I misunderstand some use cases.

TIA, mconsidine

There is indeed an average image being saved, if you enable debug images. However, this average image will have the detected polynomial line overlay. I guess we need something without.
