Tooltips don't go away after switching projects

If I hover over a file's tab and it displays the path tooltip and then switch to a different project before the tooltip disappears, it never goes away. It doesn't respond to any mouse events, and if I switch back to the originating project and mouse over the same file and then away it still doesn't disappear (I suspect a duplicate tooltip is generated and removed, but the first one remains).

I can work around this currently only by closing Atom and reopening.
