Megasync doesn't work on Linux exits after saying - your security now being upgraded

Megasync closes after dialogue - "your security now being upgraded".

Devuan with dwm and trayer or with LXQt. Ubuntu Budgie.

Steps: install from mega.nz launch megasync Mega appears on tray and opens window for entering account Exits after dialogue closed

If launched again opens dialogue "your security now being upgraded" and exits regardless of answer.
