[Feature request] Start minimized in Gnome
As there is no official support to tray icons the window starts open, needing to press ESC to close.
A possible solution would be to start hiding and a notification to appear warning that the mega was started and running in the background.
Thanks
Thanks for your feedback.
We are aware of this usability annoyance and improvements are in our roadmap. Currently, in order not to have MEGAsync run invisible, we start it with a non-popup window (a regular one), with a confirmation box when closing (A caveat that this will entail exiting MEGAsync which entails stopping syncs).
In the meantime, you may try to install a systray plugin for Gnome Shell, so that upon restart, MEGAsync can place its tray icon and does not open as a regular window.
Thanks for listening. When there is no internet, the window is not shown, there is only a notification.
I just think of a message saying "Megasync running in the background". Thus, we will still have feedback that the service started correctly.
Is it possible to have a "Start Minimized" option? GNOME supports minimizing apps, why not provide that option?
