MEGAcmd on Windows randomly "breaks" permissions on files

Hi, I'm using MEGAcmd on Windows Server and using sync command for syncing only one folder (I will name it as root) which shared locally (Workgroup) for our organization. Root folder contains folders of different departament, for example root/accounting/, root/HR/, etc. To these folders can only access staff which have right permissions on server. Far ago, some of our collegues started to complain that they don't have access for some of their files in those folders - files on server had lost permissions inheritence from parent folder and also lost permissions itself, there are only default "Administrators" and default "SYSTEM" group left, file owner also changes to "Administrators". At first, I thot the reason is corrupted Windows Server (2022). I tried dism, sfc, scanned system drive for errors - no result. Then, I made full OS reinstall with clean image of Windows Server 2016, and that issue returns after a week of ending setup. Today, I accidentally saw hidden folder root/Rubbish which contains folders like this: зображення These folders contains copy of those files with "broken" permissions, and those files also have "broken" permissions on this folder. More over - permissions of files (in root/Rubbish/*datestamp*/) fixes itself in time after I manually fixed permissions on original file. P.S.

  • I didn't notice any issues with permissions on folders itself, only with files.
  • That issue was noticed more than half year ago, current version: MEGAcmd version: 1.6.3.0: code 1060300 (64 bits)
