Taking too long to login

Open ashes-xda opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

I have almost 25 incoming shared folders from other users, which collectively contain thousands of images. When I log in to MEGAcmd, it lists all the content of these folders, including each and every image, which takes a long time to load. Is there anything I can do to stop MEGAcmd from listing shared folders and just show my own cloud drive? or Anything to make this process more efficient?

Hi @ashes-xda What do you mean with lists?

There is some pending improvement regarding MEGAcmd loading to avoid doing some computation that traverses all the contents in your cloud and incoming shares. But those should not be listed ...

I was wondering why my login time has been slowly increasing as I've been adding more files to my cloud drive. I'm just using mega-login non-interactive. Empty, login was practically instant. At about 150 GB / 500 files, login was 80 seconds, Now at 450 GB / 2500 files, login is taking 140 seconds. I don't see why there should be any connection there for just the login.

I have the same problem, but far greater. I have 14tb of data and megacmd downloads 410mb of nodes and writes to my disk (it creates a database) 14gb of writing. This whole process takes about 2 hours before the command prompt comes back. I rarely logout, because of this problem.

Exactly I have 9TB of data and it always take almost an hour to load nodes and it's very frustrating to login both on web and on cmd

But megasync does not have this problem. In the past, I have had problems running megacmd and megasync at the same time. Good solution would to have a good deamon based on megasync that handled the database of files that megacmd and megasync could share.

Same here mega sync works fine but then it's just for uploads/downloads and doesn't show or list data from incoming shared folders....maybe that's why it doesn't take time loading Also yes Mega sync, cmd and mega web they do conflict with each other I've faced problems many a time And their new security update thing is messed up badly all my incoming shared folder are decrypted and it's just a mess they created

Same here. 1tb of files. Almost 1 hour "Fetching nodes". Sad!

just installed 1.7 of megacmd (just made available on June 17) and no longer have problems of fetching file list, coming up and running commands. They have moved the database as a file instead of in memory.
