No way to search for open or hyphenated compound words

Unless I'm mistaken, the only way to search for a word is by double clicking. I cannot highlight a word and then click the extension like Google Dictionary does on Chrome.

This results in the inability to search open compound words (e.g. artificial intelligence) and hyphenated compound words (e.g. check-in).
