Cannot get it to work

I have been trying to install ubuntu on my Redmi Note 4 for 2 days now. Here are the problems I am facing and if someone can please help me with this it'll be great. Thanks in advance.

  1. When I try to install it as a file, there is some mounting issue. It says mount: losesetup fail 1 or can’t setup loop device no such file or directory and that's it
  2. When I try to install as a directory, it does install but then there is some problem with the ssh, it keeps telling me that the sshd_config and the bin su file does not exist.
  3. It does install and run successfully when I install it on the RAM but if I stop the container to restart a service or do anything with it, it just stops working and I have to install a fresh version again. I have gone through a lot of issues about this on the internet and none worked for me. So please don't give simple answers like updating my busybox and stuff. Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you root your device? From what I know, it won't work without rooting. If you want to have GNU/Linux without root, use Termux with Andronix.

Hope you can fix your problem :)
