[bug] Can't OCR be used for content in VMware

describe the bug I often work in a virtual machine environment, and I hope to use screenpipe to record my work in the virtual machine. However, the final result is that I can only record the screen but cannot generate OCR.

system info

  • os: windows 11
  • screenpipe version: 0.44.4

additional context Why can't I perform OCR on VMware? What are the prerequisites for performing OCR?

The root cause of this problem is that when VMware turns on 3D graphics acceleration, the OCR API cannot access the DRM rendering data, so it cannot recognize the text content on the screen.
