hide list-view or tree-view

I see no way to disable/hide the list view or the tree view.

I don't need both of them. Ok the list view shows me some extra data but I don't need to see the dates. So the tree view would be enough for me.

It should be possible to hide them.

You can grab a hold of the edge and slide them out of the way.
