Cat does not follow cursor across workspaces

When launching the application, the cat begins chasing the cursor as intended. However, switching "workspace" (three finger swipe) leaves the cat stranded on the previous workspace. It does work on multi-monitor setups (the cat runs over the display border), which I think actually use separate workspaces - so I don't know what the problem itself is.

Multiple monitors aren't multiple workspaces. If the app were set to run on all workspaces that should fix it, but I don't know how to do it and I don't have a Mac to play with this on.
