bad password during registration

When I go to the preferences and then to Accounts and then Add a new account for Twitter and mistype the password, I get the error message that password and username don't match. When I click ok, I briefly see the account details again but it immediately closes -- I have to click Add again and enter all my stuff again. I expected to just enter the password again.
