unlock failure on Huawei E220
i had an extra Huawei modem around so thought I would try unlocking it for fun.
Ubuntu 12.06 64bit lts.

error: just got the message failed to unlock.
Thanks for the feedback. This is a known issue and is already mentioned in the README and with an explicit warning in the program. The E220 unlock code cannot be generated by the current algorithm.
I have some ideas on how these devices can be supported but cannot test them until I get hold of one. I'll leave this issue open until then.
@mcphail I realize this is incredibly old, but if I sent you one would you be interested in (or able) completing this milestone - E220 support?
I got error at unlocking with E156G. Then i tweaked script to allow me to change unlockCode for other algo version (there are 3) ... and for my surprise when i ran it again it saw that device was unlocked.
I tried to connect and it was really unlocked. So, let me ask a dumb question. Did you ran script twice?
About E220. This modem is one of the most popular models, it was always easy to unlock it so i can't really understand why is not working for you.
