Add file 7z archive (Drag&Drop)
When I drag and drop a file into 7zip File Manager in 7z archive, This file is compressed to ZStandart, but should in Lzma
The default is zstd ... did you some changes, so that lzma should be used ?
When I created the archive, lzma could be selected there, but subsequent file additions were compressed in zstd
In normal 7-Zip, the default is lzma2 ... in my version the default one is zstd.
I am thinking about some changes, which save the last values in registry... so the user may have some own default values... currently this is only used via the explorer menu: "Add to xyz.7z ..."
Regarding to the defaults, why not make it explicit with an extra context menu item of "Add to xyz.7z (zstd)"? I mean, many users (me included) just want a drop-in replacement of the standard 7-Zip, with the additional benefit of zstd.
Second this, either change the default to lzma2, or create a setting (drop-down selection is better but simple checkbox of zstd/lzma2 is OK). I have been asked to resend email many times because most software does not support 7z with zstd.
It would be great if drag/drop to an existing archive to use the same method and parameters that used on the file when it got created
@Wise-Gorilla the file could have different methods / levels ... what should be taken then. Maybe Igor will add sth. like this, as in the 7-Zip forum is also some discussion about this...

Yes, I think it’s a good idea to let users perceive what will happen to their actions!♥
Same happen with installer EXE of 7-Zip-zstd
Drag and drop from SFX archive did not work.
I will no add this feature.
