Suggestion: disable "Tritium low" pop-up window

Open Nogitsunegari opened this issue 2 months ago • 0 comments

I put a lot of planning into my FC trips, and several times my automated jumps get interrupted (because any pop-up windows take focus away from the full-screen game) with 1 or 2 jumps left because my Tritium Depot dipped below some invisible amount, even though that amount would have been plenty for those last 2 jumps. This happens regardless if I turn off Automatic Refueling and Determine Tritium Needed. For example, a nearly empty FC can make the trip from HIP 58832 to LSE 239 in less than the 1,000 tons of Tritium in the Depot, thus allowing me to disable Automatic Refueling (which can randomly mess things up and Auto Launch me after it interacts with the Inventory menus). But when it reaches the 16th (of 18) jumps, the pop-up window saying "Tritium low" takes focus and no further jumps will happen until I catch it and manually do the last 2 jumps, having had plenty of Tritium to do so. If there could be an option to disable this pop-up window, that would solve my issues.

Unrelated: When using the Automatic Refuel option, it is plotting the jump and then moving Tritium from Inventory to ship Cargo, then to the Tritium Depot (if my memory is correct), leaving the ship Cargo with an non-maximum amount. Whatever it is doing seems to eliminate most of the benefit of keeping Tritium in ship Cargo to reduce the mass of the next jump. By which I mean it is jumping with a non-full ship Cargo that could have reduced the Tritium required for the next jump if the ship Cargo was instead full. If I am misunderstanding how/when the mass and fuel needed is calculated, let me know; but wouldn't the most efficient order be: 1: move as much Tritium from FC Inventory to Ship Cargo as possible 2: deposit as much as possible in FC Tritium Depot 3: repeat 1 to reduce mass calculated for next jump 4: plot jump *step 1 is needed just for the 1st jump, as after that the ship Cargo will be full for next Tritium Depot donation, but its redundancy after the 1st jump is harmless

I am basing this on the minimum amount of Tritium used for any jump, even in the same system and with 0 cargo, is 5 tons; and for every 400 tons of mass more than empty, a 500Ly jump in an FC costs 1 more ton of Tritium. Since a Type-9 Heavy can hold a maximum of 790t (or 820t with Pre-Engineered Cargo Racks) and a Panther Clipper MkII can hold more than 1200t, that could save up to 2 & 3 Tritium per jump. I know, after all of that typing for such minimal savings. But when I am about to make 47 jumps to Colonia, that extra 141t of Tritium can help.

Thank you for an amazing tool.
