It might not be a terrible idea to allow people to interrogate for this info via a signal handler and stdout/stderr and let people build on that.
It means "call function under test" and I suspect documenting it would be fine.

I don't think "crashes" is the right word to use for what happens, is it? An exception is logged, but the server stays running, right?
