Are stripping and reintroducing units obsolete?

The mbeddr user guide mentions the concept of stripping and reintroducing units several times. (Sections 7.2.4 & 7.5

However the code of someFunction in mbeddr.tutorial.main.defaultExtensions.DataStructures (see http://localhost:8080/select/tutorial/r:bd5ec23c-c294-47cc-a078-675c03abdb69/5000085652830308750/) does also work without the usage of the stripunit concept.

It must be checked if this is a bug or if the concepts have become obsolete due to recent development activity.
